About me
I have been designing and creating for most of my life. I am an architect by profession. For more than 20 years, together with my partner, we have been running an original design studio.
In my work I try to combine beauty with functionality and comfort. This approach accompanies me in all my activities.
I work with people and create for people. I always involve my clients in the creation of projects and try to create a space where they can feel good.
About dotberry
The dotberry brand was born out of a passion for creation, design and handicrafts. It is also a little guide to life.
Because what is knitting about? It is about learning and trying, about patience and not giving up, about doing something on your own, about passion and commitment, about the joy of success.... Isn't life about the same thing?
Try, experiment, be brave.
Remember that you can always start from the beginning. Choose a better wool, more comfortablerutes, follow the pattern you feel in your heart.
You are limited only by your imagination. You can follow my steps at first, but I also want to encourage you to go beyond the patterns, to break patterns. Make it wider or narrower, make it longer or shorter. Add an eyelet where you feel and put your dot at the end.
Do it your way. Never give up, even if you think something is not perfect, it is not important.Your work is special because it is done with passion and commitment. And with your next project it will be even better.
About designs
In my work as an architect I use drawing as a basic tool. And it is with the help of drawings, diagrams that I decided to present you with my designs.
All my designs I give you in the form of drawn diagrams because such a solution is a great convenience. It is enough to look at the drawing instead of reading a long, often incomprehensible text.
Each of the dotberry projects is drawn on the grid showing meshes and rows, so you can follow the pattern at each stage of knitting. In addition, a larger grid of 10 meshes by 10 rows is marked to make it easier for you to count as you work.
The legend explains the meaning of all the symbols and is an integral part of each design. The patterns also contain a description, but I try not to use complicated wording in it and refer to the diagram at each stage.
I hope you will like my approach to design and the way I present the patterns and make your work much easier :)
